(VIDEO) Mainstream News Media Downplaying Illegal Immigrant Violent Crimes
Media Bias: Once again, CNN’s Candy Crowley is doing President Obama’s bidding, this time shielding him on the border crisis. As debate moderator, she saved his 2012 re-election campaign. Why hasn’t she been fired?
Interviewed Sunday on CNN by Candy Crowley, Perry pointed to the 203,000 illegal immigrants “booked into Texas county jails” over the last six years. And Perry added they “are responsible for over 3,000 homicides and almost 8,000 sexual assaults.” Crowley retorted that “a number of fact-checkers have said that that 3,000-homicide figure is wildly off.” But the “number of” to which she refers apparently numbers only one: the PolitiFact website.
Here is what the Texas Department of Public Safety found: “From October 2008 through July 1, 2014, Texas has identified a total of 203,685 unique criminal alien defendants booked into Texas county jails.” There have been “at least 642,564 individual criminal charges in Texas” against them, mostly “including 3,070 homicides and 7,964 sexual assaults.”
Crowley’s “wildly off” claim alludes to PolitiFact wondering “How many of the homicide charges resulted in convictions,” whether “they took place in recent years and in connection with border security weaknesses,” and whether those charged were really in the country illegally. Perry stood by his numbers and didn’t waste time before asking how many homicides and sexual assaults there have to be “before the president of the United States and Washington, D.C., acts to keep our citizens safe?”

the following murders all occured whithin the last few days….
One of the four teens charged Tuesday with murder in the beating of University of Southern California grad student Xinran Ji was an illegal immigrant, a fact that has only increased the frustration for many—including the L.A. County Supervisor—with the U.S. State Department’s delaying of visas for the slain student’s parents.
“It is unconscionable that suspect Jonathan Del-Carmen-Refugio, arrested for the murder of USC graduate student Xinran Ji, entered the country illegally — yet the victim’s parents were delayed in entering the country legally to claim their son’s body due to failures in the State Department’s visa process,” said Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich.
Gustavo Tijernia, 30, and Ismael Hernandez, 40, were arrested Monday when they confessed to killing off-duty U.S. Border Patrol agent Javier Vega Jr., 36. Vega died of a gunshot wound to the chest, and his father Javier Vega Sr. was hospitalized for a gunshot wound to the hip. Tijernia and Hernandez, who are both Mexican nationals and illegal immigrants, face charges of capital murder, attempted capital murder, aggravated robbery and tampering with evidence.
