The Harsh Reality Of President Obama’s Low Expectations

President Obama thinks GDP growth of 2% is something to cheer about. Apparently he’s counting on four years of lowered expectations so much that now even pathetic economic indicators are celebrated. The White House was upbeat Friday over the latest GDP number, which was up from the second quarter. They were cheering a few weeks ago, too, when the jobless rate dipped below 8%.

If these reports help Obama politically, it will only be because Americans have been down so long that anything looks up. Take unemployment. It used to be an unemployment rate of 7.8% was a sign of something terribly wrong.

When Jimmy Carter got trounced in 1980, the jobless rate was 7.5%. And President Bush was hammered by Democrats and the press for a “jobless recovery” after the 2001 recession, even though unemployment had fallen to 4.4% by early 2007.

But after saddling the country with 8%-plus unemployment for a record 41 straight months, Obama says it’s time to break out the champagne.

Classless Campaigning by Michael Moore &

It really is quite amazing what Democratic Campaigning has come to in America.

So, Made in China is a Big Deal Huh?

We’ll go into the broader issue of outsourcing after the Presidential election drama finally comes to an end. It’s a big broad subject with many realities that are often ignored so that we can point the finger at someone else and blame them for what we love to consider an injustice even though our everyday choices only serve to promote it.

MSNBC Bashing Romney At All Costs, No Integrity to Lose Afterall

Not letting a simple hurricane stop them, MSNBC never stopped doing what it does best, sinking to the gutter for “news” stories. Check out the audio from some recent Hurricane Sandy coverage…

Audio: MSNBC’s Bashir Ignores Facts to Bash Romney

They fail to mention that Romney had two large TV screens with American Red Cross logos and the message: “Sandy: Support the Relief Effort. Text ’REDCROSS’ to 90999 to make a $10 donation.”

And you just gotta love the final quote by Obama supporter professor James Peterson… “all we’ve see from Romney and from his surrogates is all kinds of politicizing and misdirection”. This from a network that starts this very story by reading into comments by the President to instigate a distraction dressed up to look like news coverage to its network’s loyal viewers, and continues it for the entire segment. Either this bias is coordinated with the White House, or MSNBC is doing more bad than good for the President’s reelection efforts with juvenile coverage like this.

Quarter-billion-dollar stimulus grant creates just 400 jobs – Washington Times

Battery maker A123 Systems vowed thousands of new jobs when it received a nearly quarter-billion-dollar stimulus grant in late 2009, but federal job-tracking figures show only a few hundred positions were created before the company joined a growing list of federally backed energy businesses that ended in bankruptcy…

But even when the quarterly reports are combined, a total of 408 new positions were reported under the stimulus program since 2009, amounting to more than $300,000 spent for each new job reported.

The Benghazi-Gate, Green Energy, Campaign, Bob & Weave

Take a listen to the video above, a rare site. The President of the the United States answering questions from an actual journalist, not a late night host, morning DJ or an MTV personality. After listening to the full clip, read through a few of the posts provided by the Unaffiliated Party then come back to see how much clearer his lack of responsibility and accountability becomes.

I’ll go into one of his false assertions briefly. “I also want to take some of the money that we’ve been spending on war, use that money to rebuild America, building roads and bridges and schools.” First, he made this exact claim back in 2008, has he delivered on it? Definitely not, and perhaps that’s because it’s impossible to live up to delusional campaign promises like these, and the President knows it. If he doesn’t then we are in bigger trouble than we realize.

What Obama fails to ignore is that much of the money that has been paying for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan was borrowed. In fact, the government borrows nearly 40 cents for every dollar it spends. Thus, once we stop spending money on those wars they are not “savings” that can go to other programs, because that money is already borrowed and our yearly budget deficit is over $1 trillion dollars. If you make $50K a year but borrow an additional $20k a year to keep up with you bad spending habits, will eliminating the extra expenses requiring you to borrow those additional $20k  mean you are really saving that cash, and should find new things to spend it on?

Benghazi: Symbol of Obama’s Leadership – Yahoo! News

Amazingly accurate analysis of the Benghazi-Gate disaster. I could not have stated it any clearer, make sure to check out the rest of the story by clicking the link at the end.

The first statements from the Obama administration about what happened in Benghazi seemed plausible. There were, after all, protests throughout the Muslim world on the anniversary of 9/11 — some incited by Islamists using an obscure video to arouse anti-American fervor in the mobs, and some, no doubt, just pelting U.S. embassies on general principles. When the administration explained that one of those protests had spun out of control and led to the murder of our ambassador and three other Americans in Libya, there seemed no reason to doubt it.

For a day. But within hours, the administration account deflated like a punctured balloon. CBS reported that there was no protest outside the consulate in Benghazi. Members of Congress who were briefed said the attack was a military-style assault. We learned that an al-Qaeda affiliate claimed responsibility for the attack. It was reported that Ambassador Stevens had noticed increased al-Qaeda activity, had feared for his safety, and had requested additional security, only to be turned down. Yet day after day, the administration continued to distort reality by referring to the Internet video.

Obama’s Gay Marriage Flip Flop, Can’t Take A Stand? Leave it to the States

President Obama was on his rounds of hard hitting news stations a few days ago answering America’s questions. The latest interrogations came from MTV… He made it through The View, Letterman and Leno, so now its time for the big leagues.

President Obama was asked directly about how, since he now supports gay marriage, would he act on a Federal level to ensure gay rights in a similar way to past civil rights struggles. Here’s how he dodged the question.

Audio: MTV asks the President for his second term plans of marriage equality

I wonder what his fans have to say about that answer, considering it’s exactly the same as the opinion of their dreaded nemesis, former republican Vice President Dick Cheney…

By the way, don’t Obama’s LGBT supporters realize the President has flip flopped on the issue of gay marriage, for mere pandering purposes.  Let’s see what he had to say about gay marriage back in 2004…

A Detailed Look at the Great California Exodus

This is one of the most detailed studies on California’s failing policies, policies that drive the most successful and ambitious of our populations out of the state after California’s policies become to much to endure. For anyone visiting this site from one of the other 49 states, take a good read so you can learn not to do as California does…

For decades after World War II, California was a destination for Americans in search of a better life. In many people’s minds, it was the state with more jobs, more space, more sunlight, and more opportunity. They voted with their feet, and California grew spectacularly (its population increased by 137 percent between 1960 and 2010). However, this golden age of migration into the state is over. For the past two decades, California has been sending more people to other American states than it receives from them. Since 1990, the state has lost nearly 3.4 million residents through this migration.

This study describes the great ongoing California exodus, using data from the Census, the Internal Revenue Service, the state’s Department of Finance, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Federal Housing Finance Agency, and other sources. We map in detail where in California the migrants come from, and where they go when they leave the state. We then analyze the data to determine the likely causes of California’s decline and the lessons that its decline holds for other states.

Brushing Off Alternative Energy Failures with Our Tax Money

This story is from a few months ago, another great example of what happens when you let a President with no business experience gamble with your tax dollars. Is this what they want to do with the taxes they want to raise? Flush that tax payer money down the toilet? It is recently back in the news because of the second story linked in this same post. Take a look and Think for Yourself.

WASHINGTON — Abound Solar, a solar panel maker that received a $400 million loan guarantee from the federal government, announced on Thursday that it would file for bankruptcy amid plummeting prices and intense competition from Chinese manufacturers in the solar equipment market.

The failure of Abound, which tapped about $68 million of the loan guarantee before the Energy Department cut off its credit last September, comes after the collapse last year of Solyndra, another high-tech solar panel maker that had received federal funds.

Mainstream News Media Happy to Play the Race Card

WASHINGTON (AP) — Racial attitudes have not improved in the four years since the United States elected its first black president, an Associated Press poll finds, as a slight majority of Americans now express prejudice toward blacks whether they recognize those feelings or not.

Those views could cost President Barack Obama votes as he tries for re-election, the survey found, though the effects are mitigated by some people’s more favorable views of blacks….

Overall, the survey found that by virtue of racial prejudice, Obama could lose 5 percentage points off his share of the popular vote in his Nov. 6 contest against Republican challenger Mitt Romney. But Obama also stands to benefit from a 3 percentage point gain due to pro-black sentiment, researchers said. Overall, that means an estimated net loss of 2 percentage points due to anti-black attitudes.

via AP poll: Majority harbor prejudice against blacks – Yahoo! News.

This is the silliness that comes from focusing on demographics, especially race, instead of running on actual issues and policies that benefit all Americans in the long run. And of course the news media is more than willing to write a lengthy article basically blaming race for the President’s struggling campaign. So let me get this straight, the fact that the President is half black gives him a 2 percent handicap? If we wanted to start making excuses, how much of a handicap does Romney get for being a rich white guy, and oh yes, a mormon. I bet it’s a lot more that two points. But I bet that was excluded from the news media’s article above….

Father of Slain SEAL Accuses Administration of Murder

On Friday’s “America Live” on the Fox News Channel, Chip Woods, the father of slain Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods said the lack of response from the Obama administration on Sept. 11, 2012 showed “cowardice.” And he labeled as “murderers” the administration officials who stalled the decision to act immediately to the terrorist attack that claimed his son’s life, and lied about it afterward.

While Woods disapproves of the White House’s response to the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, he told host Megyn Kelly that his decision to speak out had nothing to do with politics.

“This is not about politics,” Woods said. “If it were about politics it would dishonor my son’s death. This has to do with honor, integrity, justice.”

Despite three separate orders to “stand down” during the attack, Woods’ son went to the consulate to try and save the U.S. ambassador.

Slain SEAL’s Father Criticizes President’s Benghazi Response

In an appearance on Fox News Channel’s “Geraldo at Large” Sunday night, Charles Woods, father of slain Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods, said President Barack Obama did not do all he could to save the four Americans who were killed in a terrorist raid on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya.

Obama should have reacted sooner, he said, because the consulate was American soil…

“My question of the president would be this: Your Honor, I respect your office as president. But if this attack on American citizens, on American soil, happened 2,000 miles away from Washington, D.C. — say in Los Angeles or in Seattle — would you have waited seven hours before you sent the first airplane? Would you have waited seven hours until the attack was over? Would you have waited a couple of days until you had all of the videos and all the information before you responded in a responsible military way?”

Oliver Stone rips Obama – USA Today

President Obama isn’t just getting ripped by conservatives — he’s also taking heat from the left.Filmmaker Oliver Stone and historian Peter Kuznick criticize Obama’s presidency in a forthcoming book called The Untold History of the United States, saying he has too often mimicked Republican predecessor George W. Bush.”The country Obama inherited was indeed in shambles, but Obama took a bad situation and, in certain ways, made it worse,” write Stone and Kuznick, reports Politico. “Rather than repudiating the policies of Bush and his predecessors, Obama has perpetuated them.”
